3rd piston under the spark plug #3
If i can only knew what have cause this , i would be a very happy guy .






What fuel supply you have? Fuel pump, catch tank and power supply?
It looks like a standard lean running damage.
Did you checked the fuel trim and O2 sensor in the ECU?
EGT and wide band you don't know? (at the damage)

I am running Wallbroo and Pierburg + catchtank , uprated 12V power supply cables .

I have checked with Stephan and the bottom line is all this hapended because of Fuel .

My car stayed in Germany for a few days ( adjustments before remap) and of course i had Octane 98 when getting over there .
The car set up took a few days and the car had to be refill two or three times ( Octane 102 ) .
The spark plugs were also replaced and the NGK Irridium PFR6B were fitted before the dyno .

Mistake #1 was not having refill the car with 98 ( what is use here in France )
Mistake #2 the spark plugs were maybe not cold enough under the heat that day ( fuel quality lower than the 102 , long race at high speed the engine cylinder maybe got hotter due to the cylinder bore i was running 87.00mm , .... the spark plug electrode over heated and melted or broke ...

These are the only valid explanations i have at this time , maybe much colder spark plugs could have made me avoid this , but ... what can i do now

I learned my lesson , very expensive one .

Got the rest of the parts cleaned up , wrapped up , some oiled

I need to have the cylinder head fully checked just in case , all the sensor and parts have been removed and stored .

I am hoping the rod axle will be fine , i will have it professionally checked and all that ( balanced , rotated ... ) to see if they are still fine ( the one from cylinder #3)
I have removed the pistons ad struggled to get that one out , as you can see the axle is damaged

Bielles enlevées , mais pour le Piston percé , j en ai un peu bavé et j ai peur que l 'axe ne soit abimé , je verrai lors du controle des marques ...

Ich reinigte gewaschen die Kolben oben auf dem beschädigten überprüfen und sehen, ob es wurde cliking Marken oder Punkte=


I cleaned washed the pistons top to check on the damaged and see if there was cliking marks or points

The damaged small end bush is only at the rod where the piston is melted?

The damaged on the rods happened when i forced the removal of the piston axle , it is only on surface and i think can be removed/cleanded .

Der beschädigte auf den Stangen passiert, wenn ich die Entfernung der Kolbenachse zwang, ist es nur an der Oberfläche, und ich denke kann entfernt / cleanded werden.

I drove a few kms today ( about 200kms) .

The Black AStra OPC is the OPC 160 but Z20LET swap , soon to be remapped (Stage 4,5)
The Vectra OPC is stock for now and will be remapped Soon as well .
