Only had the Cavalier Turbo 4x4 for 3 days and one of the spark plugs broke off and fell into the engine damaging piston No. 3 and 2 valves but luckly no turbo damage.


I am fitting during the rebuild :-

Forged 87mm low comp. pistons
Z20LET gaskits x 2 (head and bottom end have been skimmed before) plus removed all rivets
ARP head bolts
ARP conrod bolts
ARP main bearings
NGK Iridium plugs
Cool running thermostat
Wallance Performance uprated injectors
New lamber sensor
New water pump
New cambelt and rollers
re seat all the valves

also fitting a
Boost gauge
AFR meter
Sachs uprated Clutch

It already has fitted
Courtenay Cams
Courtenay Charge Cooler (standard IC still in place)
Courtenay uprated Actuator
full Mongoose Exhaust
Hybrid Turbo
Samco Air and Water hoses
uprated Fuel pressure reg.

Dont know what software it is running but I think it might be just a Superchip remap :(

what do you lot think, have I missed anything :)

When you say ARP main bearings do you mean main bearing cap bolts?

I didn't think ARP made bearings.

Add big end bearings and main bearings dependant on the above.

sorry both big end and main bearings replaced

As for the ARP main bearing that is what it says on my invoice but I wouldnt know what to look for lol.

The head has had a complete over haul with valve stem oil seals etc.

Phase 2 remap fitted but found out the waste gate isnt hold high boost :(

So only got 256bhp for the moment.
