Clutch for Phase4

Hi,

I have tried to search on here, but found little (I do not know the german for clutch :wink: )

In UK we have mainly 300brake C20lets.. so just use near-standard LUK/Sachs single plate clutches which work fine.. not many go above that sort of power.

I am looking to build a Phase4 type engine.. My current clutch is dead and needs replacing anyway..

The car is for road and track use, so i do not want a padel clutch that will destroy itself day-to-day driving around the roads and only suitable for track use only.. also I do not want a weak clutch i cannot make the most of on track or 1/4mile etc..

What is a good compromise?? and what flywheel does it work with? am i better with a standard flywheel or a fidanza alluminium flywheel?

Is that aluminium? or polished steel.. if aluminium it seems to have an aluminium friction surface too... :shock: not good.. The fidanza one i mention has a steel INSERT IGNORE INTO friction surface so is much better.

I am sorry, I am not good with the german language, I have tried to look at that site and cannot find the parts you quote.. none of the translation sites appear to want to work with that site either Do you know if there is an english version avaliable?
I will pass the part numbers on to my supplier and see if they can get some information, thankyou very much for the links

Same part no.s
This is rated to 410 Nm though.. I thought phase4 was supposed to be 485nm
surely better to get higher rated clutch not lower? or is this simply the highest avaliable clutch avaliable that does not require modification to install?

Hi,
it´s right 410 Nm normaly...don´t worry.We all (Phase 3-4...) use the Sinter Kit,this is the highest avaliable for C20LET and it works perfekt.I am very happy with this clutch! 480 Nm is no Problem :wink:
