That's a good question. In the German "manual" of the Kadett-E there is no 20XE - you can only find the C20XE and the 20XEJ both with 150hp, the C20XE with and the 20XEJ without KAT. Maybe the 20XE and the 20XEJ are the same and the 20XEJ was said to have "only" 150hp because of the german insurance system of that time - but I don't know if that's true or not.

If I remember correctly the 20XEJ had a lambda sensor but no cat (same ECU setup as C20XE). 20XE didn't have a lambda sensor.
Seems like Vauxhall moved over to having lambda/cat step by step.

But a lambda sensor doesn't make a sense without a cat :?:

Why? It allows closed loop running on part throttle/idle. It's only required by a cat because unburnt fuel damages them. Having a lambda sensor doesn't require a cat though.

my enginetype is a 20XEJ and it doesnt have a lambda-sensor....

nope.... The only thing i have heard is that the 20XE should have 156 BHP and the 20XEJ should have 150 along with the C20XE. But I dont know the explanation or the technical differences... :-(
