Z20LET head gasket

Hi, I have been reading about posts on replacing the C20LET headgasket for a metal Z20LET head gasket. I will be running Phase 3.5+ on my Calibra and have a COSCAST head.

I've bought the Z20LET head gasket and have noticed that some of the holes do not match up on my C20LET block.
Plus as I have a Coscast head, does this mean I do NOT have to remove the rivits on the Z20LET head gasket?

I have put this on my LET with no modification and it is fine. I also have a coscast head and left all the rivits in. Car heats up quicker as the holes are more restricted on the Z20LET gasket. If doing it again i would make the holes in the gasket the same size as the C20LET gasket.

I will try to explain, what you have to do (my english is very bad ). You have to remove both ???(in german "Nieten") on the exhaust-side of your head gasket. Then it will match on your C20Let.
I hope you understand me.

German = Nieten
English = Rivits

I've heard you can keep the rivits in IF the Z20LET gasket is fitted to a COSCAST head.

But if its a KS (normal GM head) then you need to remove the rivits for it to fit.

But I can see that the coolant ways/holes on the Z20LET compared to the C20LET head gasket are different.

I haven't got a picture of the std C20LET head gasket, only my Z20LET gasket

The coolant ways/holes it's not compare from the head gasket Z20LET to C20LET.

All Switzerland Tuners modification the orig. Z20LET head gasket! We have absolut no Waterproblems (Temp.) :wink:
