CAN ANYONE HELP ME WIV THE FOLLOWING PROBS ?

MY CARS GOT

FULL PHASE 3 KIT
DOUBLE HEAD GASKETS
TURBO TECHNICS HYBRID TURBO
SCORPION DE-CAT
CLEANED INJECTORS
NEW LAMBDA PROBE

1) I HAVE A WALLACE PERFORMANCE BOOST GAUGE, NOT SURE HOW ACCURATE IT IS BUT I HAVE ONLY EVER HELD 14 PSI AFTER OVERBOOST ON STAGE 5.
IT DOES HIT BOUT 22 PSI ON OVERBOOST BUT NO MATTER WHAT I DO IT WONT HOLD ANYTHING LIKE THE 16+ PSI THAT ITS SPOSED TO...

ANY IDEAS ? (DO U THINK ITS BECAUSE IV STILL GOT THE STANDARD BACK BOX


2) SUDDENLY I HAVE ALSO BEEN HAVING BOOST CUTS SOMETIMES WHEN I AM FLOORING IT. I DID TURN THE BOOST DOWN A BIT TO COMPENSATE FOR THE COLD WEATHER WHICH HAS SORTED IT MOST OF THE TIME.... BUT THE OTHER DAY WHEN RACING A EVOIV IT CUT OUT AGAIN.... WOTS GOING ON WITH MY CAR...?

Hi !

Possibel reasons to cause this Problems are normally :

1) boost cut because of weak fuel pump or dropping fuel pressure
at Phase 3.x MUST be 4.5 Bar FP + boost pressure

2) boost cut because of weak connecting hose between turbo and AFM

3) boost too low because of broken waste-gate valve seat inside the exhaust manifold

4) map sensor calibration too low at OE part ( saw this many times )
the map sensor must be 4.75V at 1.0 Bar pressure !

Please check all points and tell us the result , then we can help you !

Funny i have never heard of this problem! News to me but useful none the less! I am glad my phase 4 ECU has a recalibrated map sensor in it!

I would be inclined to go with this problem as Ash mentioned in his list:

Sounds exactly like what was happening to mine! Got a Samco hose on it and problem solved :lol:
