There are numerous threads about the "oilpressure-after-start" in this forum, and possible solutions for this problem...
After changing the XE in my friends manta for my LET engine, he noticed that it now takes more time before the light goes out. With the XE, pressure was immediately there after starting. (But this XE also has a different pressure switch) And I remember that I had this also with this LET engine. Not so dramatic, after long standing it just takes maybe 1-2 seconds that the light goes out after start. (Oilpressures are perfect.)
Can it be that a LET takes just a little more time to build up oil pressure than an XE, due to the long line to the turbo?? Should not be as fluid is not compressible, but maybe this line draines a little... And what is still acceptable as "pressure build-up time"?? (1-2 real seconds waiting feels already quite long...)
And is there a possible easy-fix to seal a leaking pressure valve??
(Kannst auf Deutsch antworten. No problemo.. )
