HELP installed my phase 3.5 and car wont start, NO SPARK

installed my phase 3.5 today and the car will not start everything has been installed fine but i have no spark its taken nearly 2 months to get my ecu back and i have to send it back again, very annoying.
ive been toold this happens during delivery of ecu in postage due to magnetic sources burning out the top chip.
is this common on phase 3 and 3.5 as i havent got the time to keep sending my ecu back and also delivery costs are not cheap.

Thats not possible, the eproms doesn't affected by magnetic sources.
The only way to erase an common cmos eprom like the ecu ones is to put uv light on the chip.

tabs got his ECU from Wallace Performance - it was ordered in the same batch as mine and so far i have had no similar problems.

my car would not start when i first installed p3.5+.
i replaced the TOP (deckel) and it ran fine..
also did my ecu myself as quicker and easier..i have a spare phase 3 top chip you can try if you like..this is what i used to test ecu.

If these Chips are not affected in the post then why is it that the top (deckel) chip keeps failing? I have to obviously buy through your "UK distributor" and I have had numerous faulty deckel chips.

It was my assumption that these are damaged in the post.?

The new phase 3.5 should have a protection board on the bottom of the chip. My phase 4 big injector software also had a protection board but neil adams didnt but that had the older 5th injector set up. Sounds to me like you are missing the protection board :twisted:

tabs give arno a call, i spoke to him last week regarding my confusion with p2 rev limits etc, and he cleared that up for me...theres nothing like gettting it from the horses mouth!!

This is correct, all the phase 3.5 deckel chips do not come with a protection board.

We will find out why this is not working - 3rd time lucky

yes my deckel chip was faulty and the new chip did have a protection board on it..
this is just to stop you copying it really though..

if the ones you have fitted dont have this protection board, does this mean these are from an older batch? Is this likely to cause problems?

what is the reason for this board?

So far my car runs with the kit fitted by gav - but i have yet to try all settings and sort the boost / fueling out yet
