Hi there, i have spoken to u before about the phase chips regarding suitability with my engine. basically my engine is not standard in that its runnign a fully ported head, longer duration inlet cam of 256 deg and 9.5mm lift. I am also running the red injectors at 3 bar at present.

My question is is i go for the phase 3+ electronic kit with a 4.5 bar fpr what will this do to my fuelling? will i over fuel? or can u modify the std phase 3 or 3.5 map to take account of my engine mods?

btw, the phase chips regal are selling are they the latest software version? and what is the cost to upgrade from 3 to 3.5? they seem to want £250 when its only £150 euros on your website.

If you get your phase 3.5 upgrade through regal make sure you pay no more than £116 (185 Euro's) I've had a terrible time trying upgrade 4 ECU's Regal wanted £150 but I think they were getting mixed up with Euro's and pounds. Anyway after lots of phone calls (thanks Arno) everything is sorted now.

Hi !

The red injectors are only a little bit more fuelly than the original ones , so with 4.0 Bar fuel pressure should be OK !

I can send you an 4.0 pressure regulator , no problem !

The rest is fully ok , dont care the cams when the compression is original !

Regal gets the 100% newest chips from us , so no Problem !

If you have some problems with the phase-3 or 3.5 i can easilly programm you an upgraded chip für your red injecotrs !

Hmm they flow 70cc a min more than the yellows @100% duty cycle!

Arno what would the cost be to re-map the ECU properly to the red injectors and upgrade to phase 3.5?? Pm me the details please!

Ps I can send the red injectors and ECU to Germany to my mate who could then send them to you! This would avoid excessive costs being incurred in the UK and not step on your UK distributors toes at the same time:D :p

Hi Rob !

I will send a 4.0 Bar FPR to my UK-distibutor regal and you can order a standart Phase3.5 kit from them with the 4.0 Bar fuel pressure regulator , thats it !

thank u ash, so when i by the kit i specify the 4bar fpr, the kits are supplied with 4.5 as std.

but how will i know that im not gonna be suppied with phase 2 chips and not phase 3, do u have some form of markings on your chips to indicate the various phases? and the software revisions?

I a still deciding on whrher to go for phase 3 or 3.5, is the difference only on the overboost? does it have the same or different fueling and ignition maps?

There is no way you will be able to get the wrong chips between phase 2 and phase 3. This is because phase 3 has the power wheel setup whereas phase 2 does not. Each chip is marked with a sticker explaining what it is.

Even the UK supplier should get that right :rolleyes:

russ dont start that again, i will go for the phase kits, and the reason i was public enemy was cus certain ppl were saying its the the best thing sinced sliced bread!! and that u can whack it into a 140k worn c20let and it will give instant reliable 310bhp!!

no doubt it is now one of the best plug and play chips for the let, arno has done very well with it!!

my arguement, i had some reservations about fueling on yellow injectors, but now we have reds and also it does fuel very well at top end it shouldnt be a problem. i`ve spoken to richard bell re this and he is no fool, he knows what he is doing so hence one of the reason for me to for for this.

Perhaps we should have talked to Richard ourselves instead of actually trying the stuff instead - DOHH !

I think we should leave Richard Bell out of this, anyone that can change a Cav turbo clutch in under 4 hours gets my respect!;)
TBH ive just fitted a Apexi AVC-R to my car and it has made a huge difference to the boost control, the moronic boost control system isnt a touch on this kit! Since its been fitted on sunday the car goes 10 times better, power delivery is smoother and it holds boost to the redline perfectly, car even overboosts to 1.5bar properly as well:cool:

BTW Russ and Dave u ain't no fools either;)

rds, yes rich is a top bloke, he sorted my problem out and i`ve had good service from him, he comes very higly recommended, i mean he did scots turbo conversion in a few days!!

watch out for robs astra!! that will be a demon!!
