Boost drops

i just went out for another drive now the traffic is gone and i could test it properly.....

here is a more detailed description.

I am running a phase III kit.

If i am at about 3500rpm in forth and it floor it it over boosts to about 14-15psi, then settles to about 11psi all the way up to about 5000rpm then the boost just dies drops to 0-1psi but the car still drives pefect no misfire or anything when the boost drops, just doesnt pull.

it does the same thing in all the gears too.

i have been told it is the EDS kit is not earted properly and is limiting the boost is this true?

From what I understand the earthing issue is regarding the phase 3 and 3.5 kits that have the lambda cut. This cut is like a boost cut, that puts the ecu light on, not just a reduction in boost. So I would doubt that is your problem.

What happens if you put more preload on your actuator?

what do you mean by pre-load?

Preload = tightening the actuator.

Have a look at the 3 page thread near the top of this forum, same problems.
