Well. the diameter is a little bit bigger than most of the pipes useally found in a C20LET, but better this AMM after the turbo than in front of it.
I really can imagine that there would be several interesting advantages, if the AMM would be installed after the turbo:
1. The air drag in front of the turbo is less (Very important !) Better more air drag after the turbo than in front of it. Sucking in air through a pipe is more difficult than blowing it through the same pipe. Never forget that we are talking about a lot of air (150 liter /sec)
2. The Motronic will get a more precisly measurement of the amount of air entering the engine.
3. A BOV installed before the AMM will have minor side effects when open on the amount of injected fuel. Better for the turbo,the exhaust pipe and the catalyser.
