20XE Idle problems

I have the last few months had a problem with my idle.

The ECU gives signal to the idle adjuster (leerlauf steller) to turn the RPM's down and down, so the engine stops ofcourse... If I manually adjust the stop on the gas, the engine has stable idle at 900 RPM's, but ofcourse I want the idle adjuster to do it for me

I have changed the idle adjuster and the ECU box. When I read out fault codes it gives me a fault "19" which in my book wrong or low signal from crankshaft sensor. I have changed this sensor 2 tines!!!

Please I hope any of you have an idea to fix it??!??!

Was the engine running when you read the fault codes?

If not it will show crank sensor faulty, as there is no signal from it, as the engine isn't turning.

Yes I know, or rather I found out :lol:

But that leaves me with no fault codes at all, and still the idle problem

Changed the Idle control valve for a new one? Or one off another engine?

They generally need cleaning with carb cleaner as have a tendancy to stick.

Also look for air leaks in the inlet pipework. Maybe a knackered inlet manifold gasket.

I have taken the idle adjuster from another engine, so maybe a outha check this one again

But there are no airleaks from the gaskets....

I have been running with the Lexmaul RAM for about 6 months before this problem accured so it shouldn't be that....
