Recommend plugs ( & gap) for Phase 1

Wallace performance supply the Bosch 3 electrode plugs with the Phase 1 kit. Mine will need to be replaced soon, which plugs do EDS recommend for Phase 1.

NGK BCP7EV gold indium plugs should work very well, or the platinum version BCP7EXV available from halfords at £6.79 each

Sure it's F6 DPOR?

Arno told us F5 DPOR, or the original phase kit F6 DTC.

Not much difference anyway between a 5 and a 6 anyway, I suppose.

The DOPR are single electrode (platinum IIRC) and the DTC are triple electrode.

Arno, you reading this? What's the latest?
Do you notice the difference in heat transfer? Quite a few people here in the UK are struggling with high engine temps - not sure if the plugs will have much effect on that though, other than slightly altering combustion temps.

Ok, so what gap should the 3 electrodes be set to. I have measured about 0.8mm on the plugs I have just removed from the engine. Should it be 0.7mm ?

I guess that Leo ( Das Böse ) had tooooo much beer at Halloween ,because he mixed up the numbers in a funny way !

His recommendent Sparc Plug : F6 DPOR 3 electrode plugs. is a joke , there was never a 3 electrode platin plug developed !

Russ you are 100% right , but that the F5DPOR ( change 30tkm ) is a very expensive spark ( ca 12.5EUR) , the ( change 10tkm ) F6DTC is a more popular and cheap one ( ca 3 EUR )!

Stupink on Calibraclub has a new set on his bench and he says that it is marked on the packet that they are preset to 0.8mm. He is leaving them at this gap on his phase 2 (should he adjust them?) . I have re adjusted my plugs to 0.7 on each electrode, and the engine runs/boost very well again.
