Phase 2 problem

Hi,

I have had Phase 2 software installed on my car for about 12 months now. Today, for the first time since they were fitted I accelerated in 6th gear for a fairly long period. After about 5 seconds the ECU light came on and code 113 (Boost out of range) was stored. Please could anyone suggest why this is happening and what I can do to sort it?

I have a boost controller fitted and the boost was set at 1 bar when the light came on. I think I am right in saying this is actually slightly lower than the normal boost of Phase 2.

When I first had the Phase 2 chips fitted it turned out the chips were actually Phase 1 and I had been given the wrong information by the supplier. Could something similar have happened with the replacements or am I being to suspicious?

Hi tris,
I think your problem is the tube between the turbo charger and the air box.It constricts when the boost is hold for a long time(high gears).
There are two possibilities.You can buy a better tube.For example from EDS http://www.eds-motorsport.de/gb/produkte/Saugschlauch.htm
or you put a metal ring into the tube an fix it from outside with a hose clip.

I've had this - it was a boost leak. Check hoses that connect metal intercooler pipework, this was the culprit on mine.
