After a couple of races The gearbox stick was coming unloose , he had issues switching the gears , this will be fix next week .

Nothing special going on .

Got my Internal fuel pump upgrade ( the second one sold to a friend here )







Also got my New pistons for my rods , i will have the valve clearance check and align them like the previous OMEGA for the pocket valves according the cams lift .

Next before the fitting , my crank will go to Vmax for treatment , then a couple of adjustable Ftt verniers and i will be good to go for the re assembly
Will go full ceramic coated all the pipping as well .

Reason why i am changing is on Page 28, i couldn't find the same Omega Forged pistons and the Z20LEH pistons offers i had was way more expensive than any other pistons i could access .
i don't know what type of fuel or Boost pressure i will be running

New Aeromotive Fuel Pump Fitted .
Pistons /Rods /Bloc will be machine (oil jet squitters fitted again , original bloc serial number engraved to the new one that will be use .
Things that will be done that were not done on the previous build :

Engine ration check and calculate according the pistons specs and other parts (will check differents head gasket sizes )

Crank nitrurated before full balancing as always , and other little details around to improve cooling and reliability ...

Has anyone here by any chance have feedback or tips on fitting an water/Meth injection spray system on Astra G or H .

I saw that Courtenay just did it with their latest GTX Build , this reduce the internal engine temperature , any ideas on a fitting kit like the Aquamist stuff ....

Hi mate,

there are several ways to mount an Water Injection. I used the Snow Perfomance Stage2. Its a progressive controller which add water/meth depending on boost. You can lower your EGT which an right choosen nozzle nearly 100° !! The nozzle sould be located near the the Throttlebody (arround 10ccm to 15cm before).

Here you can see the controller....for max. 1.7bar Boost pressure

You set an start point and an finish point from the injection depending on boost. If it is properly mapped you can see good benefits, not a lot more hp, but an safer engine, because engine temperature lower significant!

In Astra G/H you must use the system in the rear, because i think you have not enough space to mount the fluidbottle in the enginebay.

I know , i am not trying to obtain some more power , but as you stated "safer" and better cooling by lowering the combustion temps .

By anychance do you have some ideas or feedback on the systems from Aquamist ?
it looks like courtenay used that brand on the astra H on the picture above , but few peoples all over the world are running that brand also on Evo, Focus RS , Audi's ....

Hi there,

no problem, i did a lot research over the years because i like the water injection a lot. All systems work well, there are higher priced systems which have some advantages, but only usefull if you have a real racecar. Take a look at Snow Perfomance. very good support here in Germany. Price is also ok!
