Hello chaps!! O and intercooler problems

This is my EDS intercooler, anyone else experienced serious expansion of the intercooler, here is a picture!

The intercooler isnt even 1 years old yet! Car is running phase 3

looks like the opening in your front valance isn't big enough so the intercooler can't cool enough!!!
just a sugestion: make the opening bigger so the intercooler can breath more

Eeek rob-not just a case of too much boost?? Time for a bigger intercooler perhaps? Still wouldn't expect it to do that.

Mando-You Vectra/Cav looks intersting in your avatar picture, any chance of a larger version?

Anyone from EDS like to comment on this? The car has its intercooler mounted in the same place as another Calibra owner but he has had no problem with his at all! I also spoke to a guy at SERCK motorsport and says to make it expand like this takes some doing, or the cooler is not suitably strengthed! I think the latter is the answer!
To be honest Wallace Performance are replacing the cooler, so as far as service goes i cant complain! Would just like to know the reason for it going like this

We send a new intercooler to Regal and they send it to G.Wallace to make the customer happy !

We blaim the intercooler company for a bad production !

nevertheless , the world keeps spinning !

Ash thanks for the response, i was hoping that it was purely a faulty intercooler, its quite unusual ive been told as well

Ash the service has been good thanks, i was looking for a explanation as to why this should happen, but a poor build explains!
