We are pleased to be able to offically offer you our new original spare parts for the F28 transmission box. Contrary to the transfer box, we nowhave the permission to sell these spare parts, they may now be purchased freely.
Our negotiations with GM/Opel/Getrag took us a year and our preparation for a customer-friendly product / sales interface another 2 months. Due to customer informations and our own experiences made in many years with the F28 and other transmission boxes, we could prepare repair sets/kits which will cover the most frequent problems. Naturally you still have the choice to buy each part individually, as long as the part is still available in our stock.
Exchange transmission boxes will also soon be offered in different revision levels.
Thus we come now to the only small problem which we won't hide from you :these are the last available original spare parts ! There are no other spare parts, neither with OPEL nor with GETRAG and GETRAG will definitely not manufacture any new ones. That is why we will only be able to sell as long as the
requested part is still in our stock !
We will be considering manufacturing ourselves (or let someone else manufacture) various parts in the same or even improved quality if there is an approriate demand from you.
In the near future, an explosion drawing of the F28 will be displayed on our website http://www.dorfbrunnen-garage.ch , so then, a mouse-click will allow everybody to select a spare part which will be identified just by its shape. The part number and the
price will be displayed in a little pop-up window for your information. We think that this will be the fastest and most efficent user interface and it will allow everybody to select and order the "right" spare parts without any language restrictions.
We believe that we have made an important step into a safer future for all F28 owners. The F28 is used worldwide in many GM vehicles with great success. We now hope that your fun with the F28 remains and wish you all a noise-free, correct shifting.
