Fault code P0170

Hi guys,

I'm sorry for posting in english but the non-german speaking forum is closed.

I've looked for informations on other forums but I didn't found anything.

Can you give me some explanations in english about the fault code P0170 ?

I have this error in my ECU,and everytime I clear it, it comes back after a few days.
I run a phase II EDS with dump valve, modded airbox & vectra intake, downpipe and sports cat, ngk spark plugs.

It is probably the "Luftmassenmesser". I'm not sure about the english word but i guess it could something like "air-mass-sensor".

are there some other symptoms who could reinforce the supposition of a defective LMM, like bad engine idle for example ? because I have this problem too.

How much is a LMM from an Opel dealer ?
I suppose that it's a very expensive part. Is there a way to get it cheaper, my car is no more under warranty

It is possible. But it could be a problem in the fuel system.

Finally you should check the air mass meter. This error could be dangerous for the engine...

you mean that the oil on my k&n filter has damaged the AMM ?
but if you're right, that should be the case of everyone, who's still running original filter ?!! :?
