I have one question about this kit, apart from the constant pressure being 1.25 bar and overboost 1.5 is there any difference between the fuelling maps and ignition map that on the phase 3? and why does the map sensor need to be re calibrated? i wish to keep my existing ecu, can i fit this in myself?

I plan to use an apexi avcr to control the boost and overboost, so i may just go for phase 3, but if the 3.5 offers a better fuel map for running 1.25 bar and 1.5 ob then i may as well go for this.


Are regal offering the phase 3 or 3.5 electric kits at the reduced price? as indicated on your eds german site? :roll:

Hi Yunnies !

The map sensor must be recalibrated , because the system must be able to measure the 1.25 Bar boost !

The mapping of the Ph 3.5 chip is potimized to the higher boost !

Without the pressure sensor we can give you a special discount !

Ash thansk mate, also what is your recommendation for a strong turbo? how would a garrett t3/4 unit cope with the phase 3.5? or regals t25 roller bearing unit.

Are you going to produce a real kkk26 rs4 turbo for the c20let?

but i want to know if it is work with my phase 3 or if i need to uppgrate to phase 3.5?

zacka, well let me know how the project goes, take many pics as well i may be doing this myself after i fit the phase 3.5 electrik kit.

Hi,
I don't think the phase 3 or 3,5 software will work with other turbocharger.The software was designed for the kkk16.Bigger turbocharger have a bigger air flow rate at the same psi and another structre of the air pressure development.Arno wrote a new software for his RS2 turbocharger.

You can try it, the Phase III 1/2 is running with K26 Turbo's, too.

Maybe Arno can write you a special programm or a few modifications for the Phase III 1/2.

Hi UK-Guys!

Im sitting in my sweat in one of your former colonies : Kingdom of Bahrain at 26C !

The board is working but awful slowly !

Our Phase-3 and 3.5 kits are close loop boost control systems !

That means , that with a adjustabel waste gate actuator you can use any bigger turbo !!!

With such engine i would first change the original conrod bolts to a heavy duty version !

Thats all !

A standart Phase 3.5 is working absolutly fine with our integrated K26 LET charger !

By the way , the RS4 is using 2 x KKK K04 charger , nothing else !

But with the actuator you can easyly set the maximum overboost to 1.5 bar !

When you were using the original Conrod bolts , more isnt healthy for you engine !

Ash are you saying that you can run more than 1.5 bar of boost if you have ARP rod bolts fitted????

The original conrods are not the problem when you stay below 7500RPM!

At the Turbo engine its the con rod bolts , that break , even at not modified or tuned engines !

Teh overboost up to 1.9 bar wirt a regulated boost of 1.25 Bar is no problem !

Many customers are using a phase 3.5 kit with a EDS K26 Turbocharger in this combination , and the car goes like a beast , its the Phase-4 version for customers who didnt wanna spend much money , but wanna get EVERTHING!

Ash thats great information.

With the Apexi i can actually reduce boost after 7000rpm back down to 1.25 bar anyway :D So I can basically run phase 4 with new software and FPR :p

Will contact relevant parties today to sort out the software :)
