EDS VS VMAX

Who has some information about the:

Phase 3,5 from EDS and Phase 5 from VMAX.

This because I heard some problems with the Phase 3,5.
But I didn't heard a thing about the Phase 5 from VMAX.

There is NO Problem , that not could be fixed !

But most of the Phase-3.5 problems were installation problems !

Okay and a broken con-rod ?
Because I heard that (ans seen it) already a few times!
Even with ARP bolts in it.

To my knowledge, thats not the tuners problem!! It means you got LOT's of power
If you wanna go above 300 BHP, get some steel rods.
Can also be lot's of other things! Oil, oilpump.........
ONLY BIRDS FLY FOR FREE :wink:

I know that.
But EDS doesn't say anything like that.
Only that you need some ARP bolts.
But nothing of steel or titanium rods.........
And don't wurry about my oil and oilpump etc. etc. :wink:

I know they don't tell that. :evil: . But someone whoe will get more then 300 bhp out of a LET, should know that. Or that they seek some advice.
I've put steel rods,other pistons, mechanical valvelifters, double springs, special oilpump, copper headgasket etc. in it. NORMALY good for max 400 bhp.
Wanna get some more Cahnge exhaustmanifold ans turbo, and get some custom made rods and pistons. NOT MY BUDGET :?

It will always stay a commercial businnes!!!

Phase 3.5

I have had phase 3.5 for about 1 year now with no problems!
Standard engine with 170000miles. Just a front mounted intercooler and exhaust upgrade With about 330bhp.

I'm not telling that it alwaus will be destroyd.I can just say that if you go above 300 REAL bhp, its safer to do this modif's!!
And there's a BIG difference in what the tuners say, and what the dyno-results are!!! I ALWAYS go to a pro dynobench.
Result from phase 3 (EDS)and all the above modif's : 302 bhp and 471 Nm torque.(included 635 mm open exhust. NO CAT)
Even original with this eshaust and 6 liter intercooler I had 215 bhp and 331 Nm torque(stock engine)
Take the dyno test, and you will be surprised

But they ALL whent to the dyno, isn't it

It's not necessary to change the connecting rods before you go over 350hp. But if you want to go stronger then eds phase 3,5 or vmax evo 5 you need the ARP bolts. If you go for more than 350hp you need to change your connectiong rods. We have cars in Norway with ~35+hp and ARP bolts for the connecting rods. We have also a car with 368,5hp (~410hp in engine) at the wheels with 1,3bar pressure and this has new connecting rods but original pistons.

even the boost-beast doesn't have any steel rods!!!
and knowing that this car is not driven lightly :wink: I believe that the steel rod's are not a must for the fase 3.5 but I also think that it's safer and I also believe that it's better to do the oilspray nozzles aswell, these two mod's make your engine alot stronger and even more reliable :wink:

i've got phase 3.....mine seems to run ok after sorting boost leaks. loads of people i know run phase 3.5 with just ARP bolts...nothing else and theirs seem to be ok
