I owner Vectra 2000 in Russia this model is not widespread model. so we have not any information about repairing of 4x4. (Frequently after breakage a back drive throw out)
In some sources I have found the information that 4x4 works from a signal of ABS sensor.

thank you for information. there are many helpful information. but can you describe process of transfer of the information from ABS. I could not translate all your information.

P.S. what is "Fehlercodespeicherung"

There are many informations, that the 4x4 blackbox needs. One of them is the speed of the car and this delivers the ABS ( only car´s, that were build after 9/92).

I don´t know the word in english exactly ("Fehlercodespeicherung"), but it means, that the blackbox saves an error.


If you had to repair the 4x4 transmission, there are only two companys in the world, which have the knowledge and tools to fix it: Gema-Motorsport in Germany and Dorfbrunnen-Garage in Switzerland.

"Fehlercodespeicherung" it means storing an error code in the engine control unit

each error code refers on one sensor.

my car was built in 90. Then put ABS gauges of the first generation. so I can't find analog. I deside manage this problem by switching on 4x4 manuly. but a can't understad where the signal enters and what after that happen in transmission, because dealt only with a mechanical viscous clutch

This that that was necessary for me. but realy some information me put into despondency because I going to install F28 and increase Hp but it will entail destructions visco in its present condition.
