How much is this upgrade from phase 3?
Intercoolers - How big can you go with these? (size of radiator maybe)
Good or bad idea!!!
Will this reduce boost pressure?

Im using a serck intercooler that Gav Wallace had made for me, its around 1/3 bigger than the EDS one and TBH seems better constructed! The boost pressure was unaffected by the new intercooler though :lol:

I am thinking of putting a modified FORD Cosworth RS500 intercooler. This is bigger than the C20let Radiator. Will this reduce boost pressure?

Intercooler size doesnt affect boost levels so to speak but rather the design of the intercooler can affect it thru pressure drop caused by restrictions.

The way around it is just to adjust the actuator to compensate for the pressure drop...

Richie - thats right, you can allways adjust and compensate the boost whith your actuator but its not sure you get what you want.

The original k16 has reach its limit at 1.3 Bar, a higher boost will overheat the turbo and it will loose a lot of power.

If the cooler has a high pressure drop a boost of 1.2 Bar might be to much for the Turbo.

For best performance the pressure drop should be less then 7% at load 1,2 Bar.
