I would need to know is it possible to build 20XE using 20SEH block?

Of course, I'm changing everything but the block.

BUT, are the oil and water channels same on these motors?
Or is this just one of those stupid ideas...

The blocks are different i`m affraid, the main oil gallery to the head has a brass restrictor on the block face to cut down the oil pressure to the hydraulics on the 16v unit. The8v does not have this restrictor so you will overpressurise the hydraulics using the 8v block on a 16v head.
