Price of Engines in Europe

What sort of price do the guys in europe pay for a second hand C20 LET engine and F28 gearbox etc.

They seem to be holding there money over here in the UK, just wondered if there cheaper on the continent as it were ?

Seems to be more Astra turbo's than Cavalier or Calibra turbo's these days

well the price is something difficult. It depends on the quality of the engine. Is the turbo OK, how many kilometers has he done and so one.

Normaly you can have a Enging without a F28 Gearbox for about 2000€. The Gearbox is about 1000 €....

And thats right, there are many turbos on the road, theese days....

Seems about the same price for engines over here in UK, maybe a tad more for good ones like you say.

Our F28's are cheaper though.

Cheaper? Really? But when you export them then they have the same price like here, so it doesn't make sens.

What does engine parts cost over there?

One example from the south of Holland:
C20XE engine+F20 gearbox from a Calibra with 100 thousand miles cost 875 Euros ca. 550GBP
