Ph4 on mitsubishi EVO8 turbocharger.

I have written to Arno, but no reply as yet.

When I first got my phase4 he sent me chips for a T34 turbocharger which I have been using fine.

I now have an EVO8 turbocharger on the car (twin scroll) TD05hr

It boosts so early I run lean, but with rich high RPM so i cannot turn the fuel up

Has anyone used a similar turbo so I can swap these chips?? I hope to hear from Arno, but do not expect they have used this turbo and i have not the time to travel to germany.

my other option is to remove the phase4/motronic and install a programmable ECU, i do not wish to do this at this stage really

Mailing him is often unsuccessful. He once was telling me that he gets more than 100 mails a day. Only on his "private" adress. That's simply too much.

Try to get him by phone. If he still has your map on his laptop he can modify the problematic rpm-band and make it richer. I had a similar problem with my new turbocharger. I had lambda ~1 until 4800rpm, after that it all was fine (lambda 0,77). so turning the fuel pressure up did not solve the problem. he send me a modified version with 10% more fuel between 2000rpm and 4800rpm.

I must say the situation is absolutely not satisfying. EDS has two big problems. Too few people and too much calls / requests. So a lot of them remain unanswered because the people have no time at all. The second problem is, there is no other than Arno who can make car-setups. He should teach someone. If they could solve this problems things would be so much better..

Thanks but I am already aware of that and I would rather burn the car than hand it to them! I ring once for work and get a price of £125 ukp, i ring back weeks later to book in the work and they want £400+ for the same work, and their reasoning is simply lies.. they talk to me as though im a child but i know about the car and knew it to be lies they were telling. not the first time either

I will see if i can contact Arno by phone.. I have his number saved here somewhere..
