My car also won`t start with Phase 3

ASH I`ve received my Phase 3 via Jerry (Thanks to the two of you )in Johannesburg ( I`m in Cape Town), but after fitting the ECU light does not come on when the ignition is switched on, it won`t start and the amal valve is ticking all the time .

I`ve just read the previous post : Could it be that my chip is also faulty ?
Or is it something else

I`ve now replaced the the 2 chips with the standard chips and the car start and run as normal . One of these 2 Phase III chips is faulty

I left the powerwheel soldered onto the circuitry and the boost is still adjustable

No management light on

Hi !

Most of the customers send me back the "faulty" chips and when i check them , the complete output register of the CHIP is destroyed !

Thsi is only possible , when the chips are placed only one short time the wrong way into the socket !!

But nobody knows ??!!??

If nessasery i send you some new chips !

Are you sure you are plugging the ECU in correctly. Its quite tricky in situ. I had this problem when i fitted phase 1 and this was the cause.

I had the ECU in and out about x20 , rechecking everything and eventually refitted my standard chips on which the car started first time .

I think ASH is correct !!

I see on my chips the stickers on the chips are with the indentation on the left with the writing upside down and vice versa with the other one , so when I fitted the "boden" chip , the writing was in correct orientation , but on the "deckel" chip it was upside down .And I without checking properly fitted the chip the wrong way !!!!!!

I`ll have to contact ASH about a new chip

Thanks a lot , I`ll double , no tripple check the chip position this time !!!

For interest sake : I`ve been running the standard chips with the powerwheel connected and the boost on

setting 1 : 0,3 bar no overboost
setting 2 - 5 : 0.7 -0,8 with 1,1 bar overboost and fuel pressure on 3,5

the car feel very strong and responsive with this boost

ECU light comes on if I running >0,8 bar boost for a while

Obviously I dont want to break my engine before fitting the new chip so I am on 0,3 bar most of the time
