First off, apologies to everyone that this post is in English (from Scotland). I understand that all other posts appear to be in Deutsch but I hope you can still help.

I am interested in the uprated engine blocks that V-Max produce. More info can be found here - http://www.vmax.de/sonstigep/rm2.html

I was wondering if anyone here has used these engine blocks and if you could tell me if they are good and also a roguh price at the time you bought one.

Are these new blocks or are they re-conditioned engines that are being sold. Also, do they simply fit straight into the existing C20LET car with no further modifications or alterations needed ??

Thanks

Rich

Dank

Rich

Hi Richie

No problem, but the translation program is horrible.:D
There are very funny words.....these translation machines aren't good and the meaning of some words are wrong--so it's funny !!!

Please write in english--it's o.k

Your question: You need informations about Vmax----the owner of this homepage is user in this bulletin board.
His name is S-Rex (username)---look on the mebers list in this board and send him a email with your question---it's the easierst way I think so.
Good luck.

Now i will have a look on your page......;)

Regards Andreas

Yes....

Ist die deutsche Sprache nicht schön?

Momentan wohl noch etwas zu kompliziert für die Übersetztungsprogramme....

Thanks Andreas..... I know what you mean about the translation programmes as words like "Stahlpleul" dont translate from German to English with it and trying to translate the bits of V-Max that haven't been done can bring some funny results :)

LOL Janosch.... I know what you mean. It translated yours ok ;)

Thanks for the information. I emailed [email protected] yesterday so will wait a day or so so they can reply. I was really interested if anyone has done the conversion to see what they think :)

I did VERY basic German at school but didnt follow it up so can only really grasp the simple things e.g. "wie alt bis du" etc (apologies if the spelling is wrong. I also dont have my keyboard set to German so I dont get the dashes above the letters)

I always meant to learn it so if you can bear with me for the next few months I will try my best :) ..... I have some motivation now especially if the users of this board include the Opel Tuners !!!! :D :D :D

Thanks again

Rich

p.s. I am only glad I use a UK forum which is identical to this else I would be pressing ALL the wrong buttons   :D

@ Richie Rich!

for sure the "machine" is able to translate the little text I wrote...
I didn´t used any uncommon constructions and so on...
But it´s always funny, isn´t it?

Again Greetings from good ol´ Germany

Thanks S-Rex :D

Please dont think I am rushing you, I always like to see if anyone has done this to their own cars and to get the "everyday persons" opinion :)

LOL, it is funny Janosch..... Some of the words it comes up with when it translates are good :D

Can anyone translate the following word into English for me please ?  - "Stahlpleul"

Thanks again everyone, really appreciate it :)

The engine is a standard C20LET with a custom font mounted intercooler. The EDS one was too thick for the Opel Vectra without cutting all the bumper trim away.

I can get you some pics of the intercooler if you like ??

The car is also running a Dastek UniChip with boost module to allow overboost of 20psi (1.35bar) and normal boost of 16psi (1.1bar)

I have not had the car measured on a rolling road yet since the UniChip went in or since the boost was raised. With the front mounted intercooler and standard boost (factory boost) it was running at 239BHP and 243lb/ft

I plan on possibly running constant 20-22psi of boost so require this block to be safe :)

Have a look at my site where I have my current spec including Rolling Road (dyno) (link at bottom) I will let you know when I get to update it with the UniChip information. I also have a "chargecooler V Intercooler" page going up with results as I used to have a chargecooler instead.

Do most people in Europe use the EDS Phase kits for tuning (popular in UK now as well) ??

Thanks

Rich
