No, we´re not interested in selling our products in countries like the UK, Switzerland or France, because we have partners like Regal, Hürlimann-Motorsport or HighTech who sell our products there and also do the aftermarkservice!
And we have to be fair to our partners, so we strictly do not ship in these countries. And there are some more in Greece, South Africa and so on.
And the prices are fair.

Regal? Aftermarket service? You are kidding aren't you?!
Go on any UK forum and ask their opinion of Regal's service.

Other companies like Wallace end up doing all the repair work for EDS products. In fact EDS's reputation has suffered because so many kits were not working properly because of lack of advice and service from Regal.

And we have to be fair to our partners, so we strictly do not ship in these countries. And there are some more in Greece, South Africa and so on.
And the prices are fair.

There is no way the UK prices are fair.
We virtually pay £ for euro.
Check the exchange rate if you haven't recently.

Copying the EDS software isnt illegal anyway, Opel/Vauxhall/Bosch own all rights to the software within this ECU and any alteration would really need there permission (which I very much doubt has been granted) You cant copyright someone elses designs. Regals reputation is as good as mud on most UK forums as Russ has said. As for the none selling of goods direct to the UK that can easily be got around, have a few friends in Germany that speak VERY good german and can pull the wool over EDS's eyes without them even knowing.........been there done that and got the T-shirt :wink:
I personally have no axe to grind with EDS and im sure the support that the German customers get is second to none, but you unfortunately in the long run will learn the hard way about your English partners :cry:

So what are the options available when you buy an EDS product through a non-official distributor. When I ordered my P4 there were 2 full page adverts in the national Vauxhall magazine marketing the Phase kits. Although I'm not dissapointed with my service from Wallace, I've been reluctant to raise the issues I've had with the kit with them because they take too much time to deal with anything. Regal won't help because I didn't purchase it from them, so this leaves me in a kind of limbo.
I spoke to Arno about this last year and he said he'd happily sort the set-up out for me if I drove the car to you guys in Germany. To be honest, this is the option I'm most happy about. If the offer is still available, could you let me know a time that I can bring the car to you. I'm sure all it needs is half a day or so and you'll have it cracked. The Ideal sort of time for me would be somewhere around the 7th - 11th June.

I thought PV2004 was on the 6th. How long would it take to get to Germany - a day, a day and a half?
The only other time I could do it is the week commencing the 21st of June, otherwise I'm stuffed until October.

Realistically Neil i reckon a 3 days mate. Let Arno do his work with the car and then relax for a day :D The 12th is Castle Coombe mate :wink:

:lol: Have a look at the map Rob. EDS are closer to London than they are to Berlin! May leave it until after the summer - I think I may have solved the missfire anyway. You know how the No. 4 HT lead keeps blowing off on hard acceleration.... well had a closer look at the lead and it's damaged. Spoke to Magnecor and they said they had a problem with a batch - which mine was from - which caused the lead to not secure to the plug properly. They'll exchange the faulty lead for a new one - which might solve the problem.

Neil, did you solve the misfire by replacing the leads?

I am suffering from similar problems but my engine is a Z20LET so I might try replacing the coil pack.
