Silicon hoses

HI,

I need some advice!!
I have put the LET-engine in my kadett C, and I used 45mm silicone hoses in combination with alloy tubes from turbo>Intercooler>Intakemanifold.
Would I gain something if I changed them for bigger ones????(51mm orso?)
I thought, the smaller the volume, the quicker the response of the engine.
Would it help?

Hi, 51 will be fine with 57 in all bends more than 45 deg. Polished inside. Stainless best (less heat transfer).

well the bigger the diamer the pipe is the more air will flow into the engine
