Am I ok to run Saab red injectors with 3.5 bar FPR instead of the 4.5 bar FPR supplied with phase 3+?

Yep I'm almost decided on getting phase 3+ !!

Fuel Pump

Also what fuel pump should I upgrade to if needs be or should I just get a new direct replacement? Do I need any special kind of fuel filter cause the last one fitted was a Half*rds!!!!

Fuel filter from Vaux.
Fuel pump give Gav Wallace a ring and he will sort one out for around 100 quid IIRC.

As for fuel pressure etc @ 4 bar the reds will run: 489cc/min
Yellows @ 4.5 bar Fuel pressure will run: 466cc/min

I have a 4 bar reg you can have if you want it??

Sounds like the 4 bar is the one to go for. If I can have the reg off you that would be great.

asked gav about the uprated fuel pump last week - quoting the 909 that EDS recommends. He suggested a 503 (i think this was a mistype and should read 053!) as it is a better spec and has the same connections as the standard pump. price = £100 + VAT :p

Is it vital to upgrade the injectors with phase 3.5+? have had me yellows cleaned and will have replaced filter, pump & hoses (contemplating power feed to pump) how close do the yellows run to their max?

Hi, thanks for the info on the pump.

I chatted with Chris Stewart from Regal who was at the Autosport show. He advised me that the std yellows are sufficient once they have been ultrasonic cleaned and the phase kits are desgined around a standard engine.

Speaking with various other people outside the profit making business' they believe the reds are the way to go. Chris at Regal hadn't heard about the Saab ones before Autosport where everyone was asking him!

I bet they are looking into them now though... Maybe we'll see rebranded injectors soon! :lol:
